Kesha is a missionary, writer and speaker that seeks to share Christ with Black young adults and equip others to do the same while addressing racism in the church. She attended graduate school at University of Wisconsin Madison where she studied the retention rate of BIPOC students at predominantly white institutions. During her time of a graduate student and as a volunteer for the Impact Movement, a campus ministry that serves Black students, she became saddened over the experiences that Black young adults had within the white church and campus ministries. This led to her serving as a missionary to Black students at UW-Madison, serving for 6 years (including the 2 years she served as a volunteer). Kesha currently serves as a member of the National Leadership Team and as the Wisconsin State Director overseeing all Impact chapters in the state for the Impact Movement. For more than 7 years, she has served black students on predominately white campuses sharing the gospel and creating space for them to build the community they need to grow in their faith and graduate from the university. She has also served as a resource to white ministers for over 5 years as they seek to understand the racism in this country, identify how racism looks within their ministry, and provide resources to address it. Kesha utilizes her graduate research on the retention of students of color at predominantly white campuses, her experience working with Black students and with other predominantly white ministries to identify how to best serve these ministers and ministries.
